Backstory
Born and raised in Ishgard by a mother with expensive tastes, Blaise has never wanted for much, nor known anything to be less than luxurious. The downside to this being, hes never had a stable male figure in his life. To this day, he knows nothing of his father, other than the gil and treasures inherited after his untimely death. Which followed with several other brief step fathers deaths.
While no one could pin blame on his mother, Blaise always knew deep down she was to blame. As such, once he grew old enough to go on his own, he sought to make a name for himself away from Ishgard and the familiar faces that all quietly tsked when they thought he wasn't listening.
Naturally, he found himself in Thanalan, where riches were aplenty and began rubbing elbows with the right people to gain traction in his own trades. Buying low, polishing up, and selling high, even if it meant a trip to another city to sell high enough. Eventually he gained enough traction to hire his own travellers, and eventually made a home of sorts in Twelves Haven. A rag tag group to be sure, yet a group of people who care for him for more than the desire of hearing the latest gossip of his mother. That isn't to say that he himself doesn't secretly enjoy hearing gossip, but he plays that he finds it all to be positively droll.
